Rock The Vote!

This Blog was started way back in the middle of the Bush years. If you read the description of what this blog is about you know that NOW is a very crucial time in our history. The country is still revolting against conservative extremists. This very important election is only a week away. Please make sure your Democratic and Independent friends know about it and get out to vote! If you need to be reminded about why it's important, just read this blog from the beginning and remember what the Bush years were like. And don't just take my word for it - there are plenty of reminders out here on the net.

We can continue to get this country back on track. But only if we defeat the Republicans in this very important election. Get out and VOTE!

"The country is still revolting against conservative extremists."

Well, I would like to think that this country rejects extremists of all kinds, and I think that, overall, it does.

However, all indications are that the main form of extremism that is about to be rejected on Tuesday, is the left wing extremism of President Obama and the Democrats.

Since you mentioned Idependents, it's interesting to note that all the recent polling shows Independents breaking heavily towards the Republicans. Will that play out on Tuesday? It will be interesting to see.

It will be interesting indeed! This is "reality TV" at its finest.

Don't let this get you down; these things are cyclical; the pendulum swings one way, and then back the other.

Plus, as Scott Rasmussen argues in this linked article (find the time to read it; you'll be glad you did), even if the projected Republican tsunamis really comes through, it will be much more a Tea Party victory than a Republican victory ( The tile is: "A Vote Against Dems, Not for the GOP")

Why should that bring you any comfort? Well, the Tea Parties, regardless of the campaign fear mongering smears of the Left, are far more Libertarian in spirit than the so called Religious Right Social Conservatives. You have nothing to fear from them (I would also argue that you have far less to fear from most Social Conservatives than you usually claim, but that's a whole other can of worms).

As the subtitle of Scott's article says:
"Voters don't want to be governed from the left, right or center. They want Washington to recognize that Americans want to govern themselves."

Try it, you'll like it:

I have no fear - I honestly believe the "Republican Tsunami" is a totally Republican generated, media enforced farce. All Democrats I know (yes all) are quite happy with the current President and will vote Democratic again. Independents are the question mark and that question will be answered tomorrow. It is what it is.

What do you think of Rubio?

Honestly I do not know a whole lot about him except that he has classic Tea Party mentality. Meek has classic Democratic mentality - he got my vote. I'm not a big fan of Crist but I would have preferred him over Rubio.

I can tell you that we are in serious trouble here in Florida if Rick Scott manages to keep his apparent win for Governor. He is a classic crook. We didn't have good choices here this election but I can't believe someone like Scott - with huge fraud cases in his recent past - could even come close to winning.

Yeah, I don't know anything about this Scott guy, but there sure is a lot of buzz about Rubio as a rising GOP superstar (lots of talk of him even being the VP candidate in 2012).

But individual characteristics aside, and based just on the numbers, it seems like you should be living in CA and I should be living in FL!

I think it's funny to see the color-coded voting results for the State of Florida. Leon county looks like a blue oasis in a sea of red. I think it's because of the large student population here. Oh yeah Dennis, I voted!
