As if in an immediate response to my entry yesterday http://denbec.blogspot.com/2005/11/billion-here-billion-there.html, The Senate approved a budget today that cuts 36 billion in spending. Surely they cut some frivolous spending on minor programs - right?
Of course not. Here is what they cut according to USA Today On-line:
"The bill, passed by a 52-47 vote, makes mild cuts to the health care programs for the elderly, poor and disabled, but leaves the food stamp program untouched. "
That is incredibly revolting.
